Torsten Hiltmann is a Junior Professor for the High and Late Middle Ages and Auxiliary Sciences at the University of Münster. He is a specialist for late medieval courtly culture, heralds and heraldry and wrote his PhD thesis on the late medieval heralds’ compendia in France and Burgundy.
Dr Gemma Watson is a medieval archaeologist and historian. She completed her doctoral thesis on the fifteenth-century herald, Roger Machado, in 2013 at the University of Southampton. Prior to this she worked within British commercial archaeology. Her main specialisms and research interests currently are medieval material culture, interdisciplinary research, and the medieval heralds.
