Gemma Watson (Southampton)

Dr Gemma Watson is a medieval archaeologist and historian.  She completed her doctoral thesis on the fifteenth-century herald, Roger Machado, in 2013 at the University of Southampton.  Prior to this she worked within British commercial archaeology.  Her main specialisms and research interests currently are medieval material culture, interdisciplinary research, and the medieval heralds.

Torsten Hiltmann

Torsten Hiltmann is Juniorprofessor for the High and Late Middle Ages and Auxiliary Sciences at the University of Münster. He is interested in medieval and early modern visual communication and heraldry, the medieval notion of kingship and the methods and technologies of Digital Humanities.
